Pamela Mayhew is a Canadian painter whose work moves between observation and abstraction. Rooted in landscape, her paintings explore the shifting relationships between light, colour, movement and place.

Wooded and watery environments provide an ongoing source of inspiration. Intersecting branches, reflections and changing light become layered passages of colour and gestural marks, allowing the landscape to remain present without being fixed.
